NEVER TOUCHED A BUTTON THE WHOLE ROUND YET IT KNOW WHERE IT WAS AND GAVE ME SUPER ADVISE: 163 YDS. VERY HELPFUL AND MADE THE WHOLE DAY JUST THAT MUCH MORE FUN. RECEIVED MY GOLFLOGIX GPS YESTERDAY, DOWNLOADED LOCAL COURSES AND WENT OUT TODAY. TO 125 LAYUP AREA, ETC. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THIS UNIT IS AWESOME. TURNED IT ON IN THE PARKING LOT, HEADED FOR #1 TEE AND IT WAS READY TO GO.
my 2008 golf logic works very well but i am a little disgusted with battery life-lasts just (2) 18 hole rounds at the most
I am really sorry I wasted my money on this piece of junk. And to add salt to the wound, I recently paid them $29.95 for the privilege to download courses. I told him no way in hell I would pay them to fix a problem that started while it was still under warranty. These folks know they have a bad product & will not provide any fix for their customers.
They finally responded to an e-mail as it was fruitless to get anyone by phone. This spring it started again & this time I got a human voice after a 1/2 hour wait. I totally agree with the other posts that their customer service is the WORST.I purchased mine in April '08 & the locking problem started in September.
Told me the unit was out of warranty & it would cost me $125.00 for a replacement. There aren't alot of choices for those who use a MAC computer as I do. I did the reset like they tell everyone.
It was okay for the next month & at that point I stopped playing October.
Tried multiple things (uninstalling and reinstalling software, rebooting, etc) and two different computers -- no luck. Sent emails from two different email addresses -- no answer. The GPS itself is fine once you get it working -- but that's the trick. Spent 40 min on hold with Customer Service and they never answered. I'm still not sure what we did right but finally it worked, with no thanks to Garmin's Customer Service. The cord for connecting it to the computer is difficult to seat properly, for one thing. We had the software installed but on trying to download courses, the computer would not recognize the GPS.
Now I know how far my drives go. Much easier to program then a unit I tried last year. Seems accurate on the course.
